Maquoketa, MN – (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — A head-on collision north of Maquoketa Minnesota causes One fatality and one serious injury July 4th around 4:30 pm.

Reports say Isiah D. Ries, 20, was driving a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser northbound on Hurtsville Boulevard, and his vehicle crossed the double divided center line for unknown reasons, hitting a southbound 2024 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Mindy Williams, 44.

When authorities arrived, Ries was found dead on the scene, and Williams was life flighted to University of Iowa Hospital. Ries was not wearing his seatbelt, and Williams reportedly was wearing her seatbelt, and her condition is unknown at this time. Both drivers are from Moquoketa.
