(NorthwestIowaNow) — The Hometown Pride program through Keep Iowa Beautiful have announced an expansion of their program, and have added 9 additional communities including Alta, Aurelia, Sioux Rapids, Storm Lake, Royal, Albert City Marathon and Lakeside.

The Hometown Pride program works on strengthening economic and cultural elements with the help of a coach hired to assist each city, and resources available they can use.

Keep Iowa Beautiful is associated with Keep America Beautiful, and receives funding from private donors, The Iowa Economic Development Authority, and participating communities.
