Spencer IA, (Northwest Iowa Now)—During the City of Spencer Committee of the whole Meeting earlier this week, Deputy City Manager Kevin Robinson provided more information about the temporary housing program.

Robinson says the reason for the holdup is that each trailer requires a search before it can be placed on a location to make sure it’s not being placed on a burial ground.

 

Robinson also spoke about a longer-term FEMA program.

Robinson says the key difference between the two programs is that not everyone who applies for a State of Iowa trailer is going to get one and the numbers for the FEMA trailer are all pre-approved.
