Lake Park, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Lake Park Mayor Matt Carstenson says a portion of the Silver Lake Park project is on hold while archaeologists do research in the playground.

 

 

Carstenson says contracts to 2/3rds of the project have been let, and that the bids came in below estimates.
The swimming pool in the park, meanwhile, will probably be closed for the season.

 

 

The Silver Lake Park renovation was estimated at 3 million dollars, 1.2 million in federal and state grants have been lined up to assist.
