Lake Park, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Residents of Lake Park have a bond issue on their election ballot this year. Fire Chief Brandon Ehret (AIR-it) says 4.6 million dollars could replace the 1979 fire station, and the EMS center currently in the even-older OLD fire station.

The new Emergency Service Center would be located on property recently purchased by the city at the South entrance to town. That lot is large enough for a future expansion if it’s ever needed.

Only residents of Lake Park proper are allowed to vote on the bond issue. It needs 60 percent approval for passage.
