Spencer, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – The Iowa Lakes Men hosted Southeastern on Sunday. The Laker Men had won 6 in a row Dating back to when they dropped back-to-back on September 27th to Southeastern and October 1st to Northeast. Iowa Lakes already dispatched Northeast in the Semifinals and were looking to avenge their only other ICCAC loss on Sunday.

A strong wind was at the Lakers face throughout the first half, and that made their first goal all that important as Jugene Wessels found the net.

The Lakers took the 1-0 lead going into the half and came out firing in the second, picking up their second goal in the matches 69th minute.

With the 2-0 lead, one more insurance goal was knocked through with 12:51 left to play from Zenn Thiele, his first on the season.

With the 3-0 win, Iowa Lakes advances to the NJCAA Division II District Championship where they will see #1 Johnson County in Spencer on Saturday.
