LAURENS, IA (Northwestiowanow) — The Laurens Festival of Trees continues this Saturday with its Candy Cane Lane celebration.
The Festival of Trees has been open since December 1 at Laurens United Methodist Church, 201 W Main Street, and continues every weekend through the month. This Saturday, the church will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., featuring more than 40 decorated trees.
Children’s Librarian Tessa Roewe says the festival has gone well so far despite the harsh weather:
Christmas Stories with Tessa, postponed due to weather, will now be held this Saturday at 3 p.m. She adds this will be the biggest day yet:
The Candy Cane Lane Open House will bring even more holiday cheer:
Local businesses will join the celebration with extended hours and holiday specials from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., plus a vendor fair, candy cane scavenger hunt, and Santa at The Perfect Blend.
The Festival of Trees continues every Saturday and Sunday through December from Noon to 6 p.m. at Laurens United Methodist Church.
