Music Garden
Spencer, IA (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Go ahead and make some noise next time you are at the Spencer Public Library. Thanks to a grant worth over $23,000 from T-Mobile, the Dewey Music Garden is now open, and Library Director Sarah Beth Fuchsen says the music garden fits in with the library’s 5-year strategic plan, meeting at least 3 of their goals.
The biggest goal going forward is to improving accessibility.
This summer the Library Board approved $5000 to improve the Library Things inventory, and now community members can check out more than just books.
According to Mobil Rural Market Manager Deanna Pavlo the $23,400 grant for the Spencer Public Library is part of a bigger mission for her company.
The Spencer Public Library is open Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
