Arnolds Park, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — The family of a long-time business owner in the Iowa Great Lakes has announced his passing.
Jim Jensen – who owned and operated Okoboji Boats in Smith’s Bay of Okoboji – and then founded Jensen Realty with his son Michael – died November 14th at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester after a long illness.
Perhaps the job Jensen was most passionate about was as one of the Captains on the Queen Two Excursion Boat, where he especially enjoyed piloting wedding cruises.
Jensen was 74 and was serving on the Arnolds Park City Council at the time of his death. A celebration of life service will be held December 13th at the Arnolds Park Maritime Museum.
