Sheldon, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A vehicle fire caused a small amount of damage to a nearby residence early Tuesday morning.

Sheldon Fire Chief Brad Hindt says his department was dispatched to 908 8th Avenue shortly before 3am. A pickup parked outside was fully engulfed in flames. There was damage to the back side of the garage and minor damage to the siding and back door of the home.
