St. Paul, MN (northwestiowanow.com) — There are 8 new names for snowplows in Minnesota now, announced this week by Minnesota Department of Transportation. MnDOT annually asks for name submissions, and this year there were nearly 23,500 votes cast.
Winning Snowplow Names include We’re Off to See the Blizzard, which serves Southwest Minnesota in District 8. Then there is SNowtorious B.I.G., Plowabunga, Anthony Sledwards, You’re Welcome, Don’tcha Snow, Skol Plow and I Came, I Thaw, I Conquered.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz helped announced the names on Wednesday and thanked the 1600 snowplow drivers in their state for keeping roads cleared for safe driving.
