CLAY COUNTY, IA (Northwestiowanow) – A single-vehicle crash in rural Clay County injured a motorcyclist Tuesday evening.

On July 8, at approximately 7:25 p.m., deputies from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from a driver who reported losing control of his motorcycle in the 4800 mile of 330th Avenue and possibly injuring his leg.

The driver was identified as 34-year-old Lucas Olson of Emmetsburg. He was found on the side of the road with a leg injury.

Olson was transported to Spencer Municipal Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The motorcycle sustained heavy damage and was privately towed from the scene. No charges were filed in connection to the accident.
