Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Clay County Sheriff’s department reports multiple charges following a routine traffic stop Thursday evening.
The driver – 18-year-old Dillon Rockhold of Humboldt – was wanted on two warrants out of Kossuth County: One for a violation of protection order and domestic assault impeding air flow causing bodily injury, animal abuse, assault causing bodily injury or mental illness, and domestic abuse assault. He was also driving with a suspended license. He has been charged with driving under suspension, without a license, and in violation of his license; speeding; failure to file insurance; being a minor in possession of alcohol and being a minor in possession of tobacco.
His passengers have also been charged: 22-year-old Melaina Burns of Hartley charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. 18-year-old Kyler Klaasen of Hartley charged with being a minor in possession of tobacco. Two 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old from Hartley were also charged with being minors in possession of tobacco.
