Milford, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — The Dickinson County Conservation Board is moving closer to breaking ground on the new Nature Playscape.
Amy Heibult with the DCCB says fundraising is currently at 36% complete toward the $500,000 matching goal, and officials are actively applying for additional grants with the goal of starting construction of the Nature Playscape this fall.
Meanwhile, work continues on Sherwood Forest Park, although currently some final details are still being worked out between the board and the contractors, but the goal remains to have a ribbon-cutting and opening of the park to the public this summer.
Heibult also reminds the public to stay off the Sherwood Forest property for safety reasons.
