Estherville, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Estherville Council approved a new grant program Monday night. City Administrator Penny Clayton says the economic development group pointed out the need.

Clayton tells Northwestiowanow.com small businesses would be eligible for up to 20 thousand dollars, with funding coming from the community’s Local Option Sales Tax.

Those new buildings would also be eligible for tax abatement.
The council has also approved funding the existing facade grant program for homeowners for another year.

 

 

Residents of Estherville may apply for the face grants until November 15th, work must be completed by the end of 2025.
