Spencer, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Long-time Spencer School Board member Bill Zinn turned his resignation in, and at the Spencer School Board meeting Tuesday night, Chad Irvine was nominated and approved to take his place.

Board President Bob Whittenburg says Zinn will be greatly missed.

Also at the meeting, Brea Schmidt was approved by the board to replace Bill Zinn as Vice President.  Whittenburg says the school board is proud of this particular year the district has been through.

The next regular session of the Spencer Community School Board meets on June 24 at 5pm.
