(Northwestiowanow.com) –The eighth case of measles in Iowa this year has been confirmed right here in the KICD Broadcast area. The Iowa Department of Health and Human Resources say the individual was remembers being in recent days. Sheldon, Hull, and Sioux Center. The adult is immunized, and considered a “breakthrough case.”
The confirmation was made Tuesday. DHHS has released a list of locations where the individual remembers being in recent days.

- Kwik Star (1521 Park St., Sheldon, IA 51201): Thursday, July 17th, 2025, 2:25 PM – 4:30 PM
Symptoms are: fever, cough, red/watery eyes, a rash, and runny nose.
The individual had been vaccinated against the disease. If you suspect you have been exposed or have symptoms you should call your doctor or nearest emergency room on the phone.
