Milford, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — Okoboji school district residents will vote on a Sixty-Nine-Million-dollar bond issue Tuesday.

Forty-two million would construct a new elementary school on 30 acres Northwest of Milford. Principal Dave Vonk says despite a major addition twenty years ago, they’re out of space again.

Vonk says safety and security is another concern.

The current building is landlocked, AND portions are over a century old where classrooms are too small and have no storage.

The remaining twenty-seven million dollars would renovate and expand the high school. The issue needs 60 percent approval for passage.
