Des Moines, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has issued a disaster proclamation for Osceola County in response to severe weather that moved through Northwest Iowa on June 29th.
The designation frees up resources from the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program and Disaster Case Advocacy Program for 30 days.
The Individual Assistance Grant Program provides up to $7,000 for households with income up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level and can include replacement or repair of property and autos, food, and temporary housing.
The Disaster Case Advocacy Program addresses more serious needs related to disaster-related hardships including physical injuries. This assistance carries no income restrictions.
