POCAHONTAS, IA (Northwestiowanow) – A Palmer man faces multiple charges following a police investigation in Pocahontas County.

Deputies with the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office responded to to an alleged domestic assault August 23 at a residence located in the 700 block of Henrietta Avenue in Palmer.

After an investigation, 42-year-old Joshua Peters of Palmer was arrested and charged with Domestic Assualt Causing Bodily Injury, serious misdemeanor, and charges of Possesion of a Controlled Substance, Marijuana, Third or Subsequent Offense, an aggravated misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Peters was transported to the Pocahontas County Jail, where Peters was held pending further proceedings.

The Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Pocahontas Ambulance and the City of Pocahontas Police Department.
