Sanborn, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — An O’Brien County Deputy attempted to pull over a speeding vehicle at 7:10 a.m. on April 29th on Redwing Avenue, southwest of Sanborn, but the pickup did not stop. Andrew Severo Henry, 53, of Paullina is accused of eluding police at speeds as high as 94 miles an hour. After fishtailing through a turn, the 2014 Chevy Silverado drove through a cable barrier, onto a dead-end gravel road, across planted fileds, and eventually came to a stop after ramping onto Roosevelt Avenue.

After the debuty got to him, Henry admitted he knew he was avoiding getting pulled over. The deputy also spotted marijuana substances in the center console. Henry was arrested and charged with speeding, reckless driving, first-offense possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia Henry also had a passenger, Thomas Nelson Ford, 52, of Paullina was charged with first-offense possession of a controlled substance, after his THC vaping device was found under his seat.
