Primghar, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — After losing control of his pickup and going off the road into a cornfield at a high rate of speed, and crossing through 2 cornfields, rolling two times, and then walking away from the scene, Todd Michael Sohn was arrested on October 2nd by the O’Brien County Sherriff’s Office.
Officers suspected him of driving under the influence of a controlled substance so as they were ready to place him in the patrol car, he walked away and resisted deputies. When Sohn was finally placed in the back seat of the patrol car, he instigated $300 worth of damage to the plexiglass, brackets and bolts holding the walls in place. He was also accused of hitting a county road sign and destroying standing corn in two different fields with an estimated $1000 total damage.
Sohn was charged with fifth degree criminal mischief, interference with official acts and failure to maintain control of his vehicle, which was totaled. Sogn plead guilty to all charges filed November 14th in O’Brien County District Court in Primghar. Sohn was then ordered on November 18th by magistrate Kevin Huyser to pay almost $900 in fines and court – related costs.
