Spencer, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Public Health affects us all, and The Clay County Public Health director Angel Smith talks about the role her office plays in keeping the community healthy.
Smith says public health provides key programs for families in Clay County including childhood immunization clinics, home visitation programs, I-smile dental home program and the Child Car Seat Safety Program. Disease prevention and protection still remains one of the top priorities county-wide as well.
Keeping track of our vital numbers is easier with public health, according to Smith.
This Thursday night from 5-7 pm, Women & Wellness event is open to the public, and more information can be found on the Spencer Hospital website.
