Rembrandt, IA — Rembrandt will celebrate its 125th anniversary this Saturday July 18th.
The community’s quasquicentennial celebration is being combined with the Rembrandt Fire Department’s annual festivities in what organizers hope will be the town’s largest celebration in years.
The schedule includes a parade at 10 a.m., along with craft vendors, food trucks, a free watermelon feed, a car show, tractor pulls, a pie auction, Ag Olympics and other family-friendly activities.
The historic Rembrandt Theatre will also be open from 2 to 5 p.m., featuring memorabilia and exhibits highlighting the town’s history.
Among the new attractions this year is a Kids Ping Pong Drop scheduled for 3 p.m.
Robbins says organizers worked to make sure there would be enough activities for all ages throughout the day.
The celebration concludes with a street dance featuring Big Time Grain Company from 9 p.m. until midnight and a fireworks show at 10 p.m.
