Emmetsburg, IA (Northwest Iowa Now) — KICD News learned Wednesday morning that former Democratic State Senator Jack Kibbie of Emmetsburg passed away at the age of 95.

Kibbie spent the majority of his adult life in public service – serving in both the Iowa House of Representatives and the Iowa Senate. He was also President of the Iowa Senate. Former Governor Tom Vilsack shared with Northwest Iowa Now the passion Kibbie brought to the Senate floor:
