Royal, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Clay County authorities charged a 25-year-old Royal man on multiple counts Saturday night after a call to an alleged domestic assault.

They were originally dispatched to an address in Royal around 10:30pm where they observed a woman with injuries consistent with the attack she described.

Twenty minutes later O’Brien County authorities located the suspect – Kyler Hendricks – and transported him to the Clay County jail.

He was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault – Impeding Air-Blod Flow Causing Bodily Injury, Interference with Official Acts, and Obstruction of Emergency Communications.
