Alton, IA (KICD) — A Sanborn woman was pulled from a burning vehicle near Alton early Friday morning.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Department says 25 year old Madison Borden was Northbound on Highway 60 two miles South of town when she entered the median and rolled. Other motorists stopped to get her out after her Buck Terraza burst into flames.

Borden was transported to the hospital in Orange City with what were described as minor injuries.  The incident occurred shortly after midnight. Alcohol is suspected to have been a factor.

The Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Orange City Police, Fire, and Ambulance, and the Alton Fire Department.
