PETERSON, IA (northwestiowanow.com) – A search warrant led to multiple drug arrests in Peterson, IA.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 206 E 2nd Street in Peterson, Iowa, on Sunday afternoon. The warrant stemmed from information provided to the Sheriff’s Office on Saturday regarding illicit drug use in the home and the presence of a minor.

During the search, police found multiple items used for ingesting various controlled substances, as well as items used for the sale and distribution of illegal drugs and narcotics.

Ryan Warden, 46, and Dyce Warden, 19, both of Peterson, were arrested at the scene. They face charges of possession of a controlled substance (a serious misdemeanor) and possession of drug paraphernalia (a simple misdemeanor). Ryan Warden also faces additional charges of possession of methamphetamine (a serious misdemeanor), theft in the third degree (an aggravated misdemeanor), possession with intent to deliver marijuana (a Class “D” felony), and distributing drugs to a person under 18 years old (a Class “B” felony).

A 15-year-old juvenile was also found at the scene and was turned over to the Iowa DHS for placement.
