SPENCER, IA (Northwestiowanow) – Clay County 4-H is hosting its second annual Together for Tomorrow 5K, Color Run and Community Day this Saturday at the Clay County Fairgrounds.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 11, with race check-in beginning at 7:30 a.m. Proceeds from the fundraiser support improvements to 4-H facilities on the fairgrounds.

Clay County 4-H Youth Coordinator Jenna Steffen says the fundraiser has quickly become an important source of support for local 4-H infrastructure.

 

This year’s event includes several family-friendly activities designed to introduce community members to 4-H.

 

 

In addition to the races, there will be outdoor games, crafts and other activities hosted by 4-H members. The Clay County Cattlemen will also be serving burgers, while a bake sale featuring items donated by 4-H families and volunteers will be held throughout the day.

One of the featured fundraisers this year is the Farm-to-Freezer raffle.

 

 

Steffen says all proceeds from Saturday’s event will support future improvements to buildings and facilities used by Clay County 4-H members at the fairgrounds.
