Spirit Lake, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — A month-long wait for justice in a violent Dickinson County carjacking is moving to the courtroom, as a second Twin Cities suspect is finally back on Iowa soil.

27-year-old Vaughn Harris was booked into the Dickinson County Jail late last month after being extradited from Minnesota. Authorities say Harris was one of two people who targeted a pregnant woman in the Lake Okoboji Resort parking lot last October. During the struggle, the victim was forced from her vehicle and seriously injured when she was partially run over as the suspects sped away.

Harris now faces five charges, topped by a Class B felony count of First Degree Robbery. He and his co-defendant, Jessica Nordrum, were originally captured following a high-speed chase near Blue Earth, Minnesota.

While Nordrum has already entered a guilty plea, Harris is just beginning his legal process in Spirit Lake. He remains held on a 100-thousand-dollar bond. A judge has scheduled his arraignment and a bond review hearing for February 17th.
