Dickens, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A semi driver from Dickens was transported to the Spencer Hospital with unspecified injuries Friday afternoon after the unit tipped over. Stanley Hansen was driving North on 240th Avenue around 3:30pm and lost control of the rig where the road curves at 320th Street.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Department accident report says Hansen had to be extricated from the cab by mechanical means. Spencer Police, the Iowa State Patrol, and the Dickens and Fostoria fire departments assisted.
