Sheldon, IA (NorthwestIowaNow.com) – Sheldon’s library is a popular place these days, and circulation is up 14 percent. That’s the number of checkouts.

But there were other areas of growth, Library Director Nicole Weber reported to the Sheldon City Council last week that free Wi-Fi is a big draw.

Sheldon Library has also seen increases in community room usage, computer access, teen and children’s area, and reading newspapers for free.

There has been a library in Sheldon since 1895, at first housed in a drug store, and had 200 volumes to start.
