SHELDON, IA (Northwestiowanow) – A Sheldon man was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop last Sunday, May 18th.

At approximately 5:00 PM, a Clay County Deputy conducted a traffic stop near the 1100 mile marker of Highway 18 due to a traffic violation. During the stop, the deputy detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A subsequent search led to the discovery of marijuana inside.

Stephen Mack, 40, of Sheldon, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana – first offense, a serious misdemeanor. He was transported to the Clay County Jail and later released on bond.
