O’Brien County, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — 42-year-old Sheldon woman faces several criminal charges following an incident on the morning of May 9. Sheldon Police arrested Rachael Ann Holz near Seventh Street and Ninth Avenue after a neighbor reported she was burning materials outside her home.
The official arrest log lists seven charges, including reckless use of fire or explosives, interference with official acts, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Holz is also charged with the possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
The most serious count against her is a felony charge for the possession of contraband in a correctional facility. According to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office, Holz was transported to the jail in Primghar and was listed as jailed as of today. She has a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 1 on the charges.
At the same time, Holz is scheduled a for a jury trial May 19 for possession of controlled substance methamphetamine first offense that occurred on June 4 of 2025.
