Sioux Center, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – The 2025 Siouxland Conference Cross Country Championships were held at the Dordt University Cross Country Course in Sioux Center on Tuesday.
In the Girls race, Natalie Anderson of MOC-Floyd Valley won with a time of 18:40.54. In 2nd was Audrina Jones of Sioux Center at 18:58.07. Unity Christian of Orange City had Katie Young take 3rd at 19:00.15. In 4th was Sioux Center’s Molly Isakson at 19:51.72 and Unity Christian’s Kambrie Dekkers rounded out the top 5 at 20:04.81.
Leading Okoboji was Kaela Weston at 21:43.41 in 16th while Sheldon was paced by Kylie Robinson’s time of 23:15.53.
Sioux Center took the Girls team title with 31 points, in 2nd was MOC-Floyd Valley with 49, and Unity Christian of Orange City was 3rd at 55. Okoboji took 4th and Sheldon was 5th.
For the Boys race, Matthew Dahm of Sioux Center won with a time of 16:37.2. In 2nd was Isaac Hummel of MOC-Floyd Valley, running 16:47.91. 3rd was Caden Kooiker at a time of 16:54.42 for Sioux Center. In 4th place was his teammate Drew Cundy at 16:55.92. 5th place went to Thatcher Doughan of MOC-Floyd Valley with a time of 16:55.92.
The fastest Sheldon runner was Malakai Vermeer with aa time of 17:15.93 in 6th. Okoboji was led by Tyson Fear’s 12th place time of 17:38.41.
In the team scores, Sioux Center won with 23 points, MOC-Floyd Valley was 2nd at 64, Unity Christian of Orange City placed 3rd with 70, Okoboji was 4th, and Sheldon took 5th.
