Spencer, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — f you’re interested in learning about design that works for everyone, mark your calendar. The public, business owners, educators, and community leaders are strongly encouraged to attend a free presentation on Universal Design hosted by Spencer native Dr. Molly Wuebker

The Spencer ADA Council invites the public to hear Dr. Wuebker share a free presentation on Universal Design.  The event is October 27th in Spencer, 6:30-7:30 at the Spencer City Council Chambers, and virtually via the SMU Facebook page.

This event is free and open to the public as part of the community’s celebration of accessibility, civil rights, and 35 years of progress under the ADA.

Dr. Wuebker is the founder of Uncurbed and the Iowa Liaison for the Great Plains ADA Center. She’ll explore how universal design—which goes beyond basic accessibility—brings the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act, or ADA, to life. You’ll learn how it’s used in schools, workplaces, and public spaces to create better experiences.
