Waterloo, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – The Spencer Boys’ Swim Team was in Waterloo for a Swimming Invitational on Saturday.

Spencer’s team of Ray Kaiser, Owen Van Otterloo, Mason Yost, and Ethan Hass combined for a time of 1:42.86 to finish 2nd in the 200y Medley Relay.

Oliver Miller picked up a win for the Tigers in the 200y Freestyle with a time of 1:50.6.

Ray Kaiser took 2nd for Spencer in the 50y Freestyle, clocking 21.25 seconds.

In the 100y Fly, Spencer’s Mason Yost finished 3rd with a time of 57.77 seconds.  Ethan Hass was in 5th for the Tigers at 24.56 seconds.

Spencer’s Owen Van Otterloo swam a 100y Freestyle time of 53.28 seconds to take 3rd while Ethan Hass finished 5th for the Tigers at 54.98 seconds.

Oliver Miller picked up another win in the 500y Freestyle with a time of 5:02.78.

For the 200y Free Relay, Spencer’s team of Kaiser, Miller, Van Otterloo, and Hass swam 1:33.96 to finish 2nd.

Ray Kaiser gave Spencer the win in the 100y Backstroke with a time of 58.12 seconds.

Owen Van Otterloo took the gold for the Tigers in the 100y Breast with a time of 1:02.36.  His teammate Ethan Weston was 5th with a time of 1:09.08.

Spencer’s 400y Free Relay team of Hass, Miller, Weston, and Yost took 3rd with a time of 3:40.28.

In the team scores, Decorah won with 313 points, Spencer was 2nd with 301, Marshalltown took 3rd with 269, Newton 4th at 239, Waterloo was 5th with 125, and V-S/CP-U would finish 6th with 40.
