Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Spencer City Council has approved a contract for the new splashpad $279,000 under the engineer’s estimate.
Five bids were submitted ranging from &921,649 to $1.34 million.

Woodruff Construction submitted the low bid. Regional Vice-President Kevin Larson was on hand at the April 6 City Council meeting.

Construction on the splashpad, which is to be located next to the existing aquatic center, is set to begin as soon as weather permits.
