Spencer IA (Northwest Iowa Now)— Spencer Community School District Associate Superintendent of School Improvement Angie Hanson joined KICD on the Big Interview to discuss the district’s goals for the year.

Hansen explains the three parts of the district’s literacy goal.

Hansen says Spencer’s schools started last year working on the showing up goals.

Hansen says the flooding in Spencer did not have a major negative effect on early test scores this year or fall attendance.

Spencer Schools used emergency homeless funds from the state of Iowa to hire a family service coordinator to help displaced families get the resources that they need.
