St. James, Minnesota (Northwest Iowa Now) – Only a day after competing in the Siouxland Conference Championships, a short-handed Spencer Girls Tennis team went North to St. James, Minnesota for their invite.
Against St. James in singles, Aubrey McFarland won in the 3rd set tiebreaker 11-9.
Brynn Merchant and Kennedy Graettinger won in two sets against Waconia for doubles with Vivian and Pearl Whittenburg also picking up the win in two sets.
McFarland won her singles match against Belle Plaine 6-3 and 6-2.
In the Doubles matches against Belle Plaine, Merchant and Graettinger won in two sets while the Whittenburgs lost in two.
McFarland took her first loss to St. James in two sets, each 6-1.
For the Doubles against St. James, Merchant and Graettinger won 6-2 and 6-1 in two sets while the Whittenburgs fell in two.
Spencer would end up taking 2nd out of the 4 teams on the day, and will prepare to wrap up the regular season on Monday against Cherokee.
