Gillett Grove, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — A Spencer man was charged with 2nd offense OWI last week after a rural traffic accident.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to the 42 hundred mile of 310th Avenue – three miles East and two miles North of Gillett Grove – on the report of a car in a ditch. They arrived to find 27-year-old Zachary Schnurr passed out at the wheel.

After a field sobriety test, he was arrested and transported to the Clay County Jail. He was also charged with failure to maintain control and driving without a license or insurance.
