Sioux City, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A Spencer man has been sentenced to more than 14 years in federal prison on drug and weapons charges.
41-year-old Dana Igou was arrested for possession of a 9-millimeter handgun and methamphetamine in December of 2023. He was prohibited from possessing firearms because of a prior domestic violence conviction. He was then arrested in March of 2024 when authorities say he had a gun, ammunition, brass knuckles, and 9 ounces of methamphetamine.
He pled guilty to possession of firearms by a drug user and domestic abuse misdemeanant and, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in January.
The 170-month prison term to be followed by 5 years of supervised release was handed down by Judge Leonard T. Strand in Sioux City.
