Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Certified enrollment in the Spencer Community Schools fell only three percent this year, despite the number of families displaced because of the flood.
And Superintendent Terry Hemann says a portion of the drop is due to the state voucher system and not the flood.

The Spencer School District is working closely with students who were forced to live outside of the district’s boundaries.

State aid per student is roughly Seventy-Eight hundred dollars per year.
