Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Two teens have been charged with possession of marijuana following a traffic stop in Clay County. The Sheriff’s department says they pulled over a 17-year-old female from Storm Lake shortly after 10 Thursday night (February 11th.)

The deputy says he found marijuana vape pens, cigarettes, and alcohol inside.

Both the driver and passenger – 18 year old Kevin Patino of Spencer – were charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The female was also charged with possession of alcohol and tobacco as a minor and released to the custody of her parents.
