Spirit Lake, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Major damage was avoided when the deck of a trailer home on the Northeast corner of Spirit Lake caught on fire Saturday.

The Spirit Lake Fire Department was dispatched to 105th Street in Angler’s Bay around 2:30pm. The homeowner had pretty much extinguished the fire that started on a deck and was starting to spread to the actual trailer. The fire department doused some hot spots.

There were no injuries. No word on a cause.
