Spirit Lake, IA (NorthWestiowanow.com) –Sailing enthusiasts converge on the Iowa Great Lakes this week, for a competition on Big Spirit Lake. Jake Larson, Regatta Chairman, gives details.

Participants travel from around the country each year to different locations for the Hobie Wave North American Championships, previously hosted in Syracuse New York and Shreveport Louisiana.

The Hobie Wave is a popular boat known for its safety and ease of use.

Larson hopes to keep the fleet in The Iowa Great Lakes thriving in the years to come.

 

The Hobie Wave North American Championships begin Wednesday September 25th through Saturday September 28th, on Big Spirit Lake.
