Spirit Lake, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Several KICD 9-County Area teams competed at the Spirit Lake Meet on Tuesday. Here are winners from the KICD area.

Emmetsburg’s Byron Maina won the Boys High Jump at 6 feet 4.25 inches.

The E-Hawks swept the High Jump with Rachel Schany winning the girls event with a height of 5ft 7in.

Okoboji’s Calan Peters won the boys Discus at 149ft 11in.

Lauren Travis of Spirit Lake took 1st in the Girls Discus at 111-10.

Rachel Schany took 1st in the Long Jump at 18-4.25.

Teh Boys long jump was won by Carson Storey of Okoboji at 20-3.

Lauren Travis picked up another win in the girls Shot Put at 41-6.5.

Estherville Lincoln Central’s Liam Brown took the Boys Shot Put with a toss of 46-9.

Okoboji’s Girls 800m Sprint Medley Relay team of Avery, Meyer, Allen, and Wells went 1:53.96 for gold.

The Spirit Lake Boys team of Higgins, Orpen, Stecker, and Walz won with 1:37.3.

Spencer’s Peyton Morey placed 1st in the girls 3000m Run at 12:58.14.

Spirit Lake’s Brandon Hughes was the boys 3200m run winner at 9:56.06.

Sioux Central Girls’ 4x800m Relay of Christian, Phillips, Weber, and Madsen took 1st at 11:02.73.

The Okoboji Boys 4x800m Relay won with Ballis, Larson, Fear, and Weston going 8:46.81.

The Spencer Girls Shuttle Hurdle Relay team of Stuckey, Eilts, Buum, and Simington took 1st at 1:17.56.

Spirit Lake’s boys Shuttle Hurdle Relay team of Stecker, Winkel, Hagedorn, and Jalas were the winners at 1:00.33.

Krishauna Allen of Okoboji claimed the 100m Dash with a time of 12.53 seconds.

It was Dylan Stecker of Spirit Lake in the Boys 100m Dash with a time of 11.02 seconds.

The Spirit Lake Girls Distance Medley Relay team of Duvall, Wassenaar, Beck, and Mueting won with a time of 4:40.27.

In the Boys Distance Medley Relay, Okoboji’s team of Stein, Wright, Heimdal, and Osler took 1st at 3:34.17.

For the Girls 400m Dash, Spirit Lake’s Abby Scott won at 1:02.28.

The Boys 400m Dash was claimed by Sioux Central’s Jack Christian at 54.05 seconds.

In the Girls 4x200m Relay, Spencer’s Krieg, Simington, Eilts, and Hopkins won at 1:49.00

For the Girls 4x200m Relay, Okoboji’s team of Mulhem, Netsch, Graves, and Heller went 1:34.21 to place 1st.

Spirit Lake’s Leah Bolluyt won the Girls 100m Hurdles at 14.99 seconds.

In the Boys 110m Hurdles, Cooper Winkel was 1st with 14.05 seconds for Spirit Lake.

For the Girls 800m run, Rachel Schany went 2:28.14 for Emmetsburg to finish 1st.

Spirit Lake’s Dietrich Dirks ran 1:58.68 in the Boys 800m Run to take 1st.

In the Girls 200m Dash, Anthea Leupold of Spirit Lake was the winner at 25.67.

For the Boys 200m Dash, Dylan Stecker of Spirit Lake finished in 22.29 to take 1st.

Leah Bolluyt of Spirit Lake claimed 1st place in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 1:07.39.

In the Boys 400m Hurdles, Jerron Heller of Okoboji went 59.01 seconds to win.

For the Girls 1500m run, Sage Weber of Sioux Central clocked 5:15.49 to take 1st.

Spirit Lake’s Jace Hungerford took 1st in the Boys 1600m Run with a time of 4:41.38.

In the Girls 4x100m Relay it was Spencer’s team of Hopkins, Simington, Koenig, and Krieg winning with a time of 51.21 seconds.

For the Boys 4x100m Relay, Spirit Lake’s team of Stecker, Winkel, Orpen, and Stecker took 1st at 42.83 seconds.

The Spirit Lake Girls team of Beck, Mueting, Petersen, and Scott capped off the day with a 4x400m Relay time of 4:18.05 to win.

In the Boys 4x400m Relay, Okoboji’s team of Osler, Graves, Heimdal, and Wright took 1st5 at 3:42.23.

The Spirit Lake Girls won the team title at 182 points, Spencer was 2nd at 125, Sioux Central 3rd with 87, Okoboji, Emmetsburg, and North Union rounded out 4-6 in that order.

Spirit Lake also won the Boys team title with 234 points, Okoboji was 2nd at 148, Sioux Central 3rd with 58, Estherville Lincoln Central, Emmetsburg, and North Union went 4-6.
