Okoboji, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A short, but busy, stretch of street in Okoboji is under construction. City Manager Michael Meyers says Stakeout Road – that’s the road by McDonalds – is getting some major upgrades.

The diagonal road is a popular short-cut for traffic coming from and heading to Spirit Lake.

There’s also significant bike traffic where the road dissects with the Dickinson County bike trail.

 

Meyers tells Northwestiowanow.com the Stakeout Road project should be complete by October 18th. Residents are still able to access their homes, but the rest of traffic is being diverted.
