Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — As we’ve been reporting, many stores at the Southpark Mall reopened today.
Movies are also filling the screens at The Palms since for the first time since the flood. Fridley Theatres CEO Russ VanOrsdell says contractors and the company that custom-produced the lounge recliners scrambled to get things put back together.

During a tour last week Northwestiowanow.com asked VanOrsdell if Fridley ever considered not reopening in Spencer.

 

Spencer is only the third location of Fridley’s new concept of offering luxury recliners, a full restaurant menu, and craft beers to go along with their viewing experience. The other two locations are Waukee and Muscatine.
