Spencer, IA (Northwest Iowa Now) — A 15-year-old juvenile from Spencer has been arrested for Threat of Terrorism.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s office, they were contacted by the Federal Bureau of Investigations Monday regarding concerning messages sent via Snapchat about a threat made by a juvenile who lives in Clay County. The juvenile made the threat to the Okoboji High School via text to her friends on Snapchat.

After an investigation, the 15-year-old juvenile was arrested on a Class D Felony Monday evening. She was later released to the custody of her parents.

This incident is still under investigation. The Federal Bureau of Investigations, Clay County Attorney’s Office and Milford Police Department assisted the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
